Wivenhoe Tempest Blues were the visitors to Flatford Lane Ground this sunday for a league fixture against our U8's.
A beautiful morning and beautiful performance tend to go together rather well.
First half saw Max between the sticks, in the customary rotation of keeper duties that currently applies across the team, pull off a few saves and keeping everything even stevens at half time.
Max then chose to play in his prefered midfield role, which allows him to use his pace, power and high energy levels to the Max! ( see what i've done there ! ). Applying pressure from kick off's and goal kicks with one of those resulting in a well deserved and taken goal, much to the delight of the EBUFC cheerleaders Evie & Bullet!
Seeing a new little confidence growing back into Max and his game is pleasing to see. Playing with a smile on his face and getting stuck in, winning the ball and being brave with his dribbling and shooting. Making good decisions and working hard for his team mates both in attack and defensively.
A lovely lad to have around and involved with the team. A pleasure to manage / coach and see development and grow both on and off the pitch.
The future is bright, the future is Green
